(Ar., with a Var. ברזא, translates, a valueless pebble = בִּזְקָא q. v., which seems to be confirmed by the vers. בורא דחספא (read בז׳ for בו׳) a fragment of an earthen vessel. (Rashis interpretation is grammatically forced and out of harmony with the natural reserve of a father towards his daughters. (Ib. 103a לביז׳ דקרא for (putting in) the seed of a pumpkin (Ar. לבורא, ed. Koh. לבירא, Ms. M. לבירא דקירא as a cavity for planting).Pl. בִּזְרִי, בִּיזְ׳. Ḥull.51b רעביד ב׳ when the flax stalks have seminal vessels. Ib. 60b שדא ביה ב׳ Ar. (ed. ביזרני) he put seed into it.
